HOW A FIELD BECOMES A CARBON SINK
- 1. Farmers change how they farm. Cover crops, composting, less tilling, rotational grazing. These practices build healthier, more productive soil.
- 2. Plants do the heavy lifting. Through photosynthesis, crops pull CO₂ from the air and feed it into the ground. Healthy soil holds that carbon like a sponge.
- 3. Satellites check the math. Boomitra measures the carbon in the soil directly, acre by acre, using satellites and AI. No estimates, no guesswork. Independent registries like Verra and SocialCarbon verify the results before a single credit is issued.
- 4. The money goes back to the field. When you buy a credit, the majority of the proceeds goes to the farmer who did the work.
